This contains my advice for Penn State's entry into the Solar Decathlon competition, a contest to build the best solar-powered home (in which Penn State placed 4th out of 20+ teams). I describe why food production should be incorporated into the design of the house, and provide my personal motivation for giving food special consideration.

This document is my entry into a contest sponsored by the Buckminster Fuller Institute, called the Buckminster Fuller Challenge. The contest's goal is to award the creator of the idea that could most efficiently, practically and ingeniously address the most important problems of humanity (especially regarding the environment).
